iO West Theater – Los Angeles

Join the family! iO West (formerly Improv Olympic) served as the training ground for an enormous network of the best names in comedy, including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Seth Meyers, Vince Vaughn, Mike Meyers, and Chris Farley — to name a few. The training center offers a new session of classes every 8 weeks in a supportive, welcoming, fun environment and is open to everyone across the board – actors and non-actors alike.

iO West’s theater features shows on 3 stages every day of the week and our bar was named “Best Happy Hour in Town” by LAist (from 6:30-8:30pm Monday through Friday).

iO and iO West were founded by Del Close and Charna Halpern. Today iO West is managed by artistic director James Grace.
