Tom Bergin’s – Los Angeles
Place Category: Irish Pubs
-
America’s #1 Irish Establishment for over six years in a row, Tom Bergin’s is filled with history, tradition, and community.
Founded in 1935, lawyer Tom Bergin, obtained a liquor licence and opened Tom Bergin’s Old Horseshoe Tavern & Thoroughbred Club. The license, now the second oldest in Los Angeles County, continues to welcome the spirit of merriment and lively company.
Bergin originally sought to create an authentic pub defined by warmth, great food, and exceptional hospitality. Today, Tom Bergin’s exists as if it ever has. Initially gaining a reputation from stars like Bing Crosby and Pat O’Brien, the rest of Hollywood followed suite and you can find many stars and locals names affixed to the green shamrocks that hang from our ceiling in celebration of them.
Today, the Tom Bergin’s Public House is home to the West Coast’s original Irish Coffee and is the Los Angeles epicenter for St. Patrick’s Day. Bergin’s is not just the place to be on March 17th, but is also a year round destination. Whether it’s our signature Irish Coffee, our twelve new taps of craft beer, the LA Rams 1951 Championship Banner, or the 3000+ shamrocks that adorn our ceiling, there are plenty of great reasons to darken our door.
Come in Tom Bergin’s and experience why so many people can call our place “home”.
