  • This is Pirate’s Alley Cafe, located in the heart of the Vieux Carre, New Orleans. Our establishment was conceived in remembrance of those pirates from around the globe who walked these very streets. They brought not only their plundered goods for trade, but also a rich diversity of culture and custom which transformed this port city into one of the most unique spots on the planet. Located next to the “Faulkner House” where the great writer once lived, we are among the most historic places in the U.S. Here one can relax and enjoy a bite to eat as well as partake of delicious house specialties, and the most exotic of all drinks, “Absinthe”. This mystical elixir has been known for over 200 years for its stimulating effects on creativity and its aphrodisiac qualities.

Due to the French influence of the Crescent City, “Absinthe” achieved a wide popularity in New Orleans as well. It was consumed by people from artists and musicians to Storyville madams.
